AEROSTRIP 5182 is next generation chemistry for immersion paint remover products. Effectively strips all aircraft and AGE topcoat and primer coatings without adverse effects on conversion coatings or aerospace metals. AEROSTRIP 5182 is used in a filtered tank, heated to 160-180 F. with a mineral oil seal to avoid evaporation. This product is QPL'ed to MILPRF87937C and is currently available using NSN 8010-01-374-4336. AEROSTRIP 5182 is also approved by Rolls Royce Jet Engine manufacture per OMAT 1/226F for use in removing heavy carbon from jet engine hot sections and is currently used by General Electric Jet Engine overhaul for cleaning of fuel nozzels.
